Fall of Light 2, 2003

Pat Andrea enjoys working in a classic technique like the old masters: oil paint with casein (pigment and binder containing animal protein). In doing so, he creates a dreamlike atmosphere with a recurring Lolita type of girl-child. Here the summer light catches such a girl. She holds her little arm ... in front of her eyes to avoid being blinded. As a result, her lace jacket with skull motif gaps open at her breasts. We can even see a tuft of curly pubic hair. We did not want to look, but did anyway. Text: Chris Reinewald From: Museum MORE: 100 jaar realisme, 2020, Gorssel
